Arnold Kellett reminds us that our Christmas joy was bought by the greatest sacrifice and pain.

When you lie
Tucked up in bed
This Christmas Eve,
Just reflect
That Jesus said:
The Son of Man
Hath not where
To lay his head ..
Born in straw,
He died on wood;
No bed for him:
Our glorious gain
Derives from bleeding
Saviourhood,
Our Christmas joy
Bought by his pain.
