Peter Wilkinson provides information onopera singer Anastasia Robinson who created several Handel roles in the early Eighteenth Century.

1692 in Italy.

Adult life
She was a popular opera singer in London 1714 - 24. where she created several Handel roles, including Oriana in Amadigi (1715) & Cornelia in Giulio Cesare (1724). Her voice was notable for its expressiveness. She was married to the Earl of Peterbrough.

She is not to be confused with Ann Robinson, or her daughter 'Miss Robinson", who both sang in Handel works at this time.

She died in April 1755 in Southampton aged 63.
