The awakening, not yet realized, not yet idealized.

Scratching, tapping, to be let in.
Searching for the door
that has always been unlocked.

Alas, absent the articulation, to turn the knob.

To venture past the sill and see, feel, hear, the warmth and tempest, the grace of a simple life.
