1879 in Wroclaw, Germany.

Studied with Orgeni.

Adult life
Opera debut Prague 1902. Sang with Dresden Opera 1908 - 22. Covent Garden debut 1913. Created Strauss roles of Chrysothemis in Elektra, Marschallin in Rosenkavalier & Zerbinett in Ariadne auf Naxos 1912.
She taught in Berlin in 1920, & in Dresden & Wroclaw till 1940. She died in 1952 in Dresden aged 73.
