Feather's Miscellany: Maiden Meek Carol

John Waddington-Feather presents a new carol.

A maiden meek with child there was
who bore Godís only Son;
he lived long since in Bethlehem,
through him the world was won.

A Son who died upon the cross
as sacrifice for sin;
who saved all folk to live their lives
to bring Godís Kingdom in.

A Servant King born in a crib
within a stable bare;
with cattle lowing in the hay
was born our Saviour dear.

Sweet Jesus, in humility let us
By steadfast faith adore
And serve you as our kinsman Lord,
Now and for evermore.
