Feather's Miscellany: Snowdrops

John Waddington-Feather presents a timely poem.

Pearls of wisdom poking through the snow,
telling us that Spring is on the way;
yearly you come to give us cheer
within the deep depressing winter,
daring its frost and snow
while we hug fast our firesides indoors.

More than any words your silent tiny witness
foretells much better things to come:
warmth and light, resurrection life, Easter.

John Waddington-Feather
