Away With Worry: Why?
Angela Black’s poem suggests there is a lesson to be learned from an unwonted parting.
Why my love are you leaving
Whilst I am alone and grieving?
Have I not served you well
With hand and heart
And vowed never to part?
This you know, and must believe
So why my love do you leave?
Why my love do you leave?
Why my love do I grieve?
Yet in this I can rejouce
My sorror has a voice.
And though it bring me pain
I shall not grieve again.
