Adult life
New York Met debut 1970, roles included Rosina in the Barber of Seville, Zerkina in Don Giovanni. Sang Melisande in Santa Fe. She has been especially admired as Cherubino (Paris and Glynde-bourne 1973) and Octavian. She has sung in several new works and also revivals of old ones. Her firm well formed tone and sense of phrasing served her well as a recitalist.
