Sandy's Say: Sandy's Pause

Ace columnist Sandy James is takng a break from the writing game.

The good news for Open Writing readers is SHE WILL BE BACK!

Reluctantly, I have decided that I need to take a break from writing this weekly column. It's not that I've run out of things to say but rather that my non-writing in-tray has piled up to astronomical and debilitating levels. This, I find, is the difficulty with being the nerve centre of domestic operations.

Something has to give while I play catch up for a few months.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Peter Hinchliffe for being such an encouraging and enthusiastic editor. It was he who persuaded me to try my hand at writing in the first place, to the point where I now can't imagine living without it. He had more faith in me than I had in myself.

I would also like to thank my regular readers, especially those who have taken the time to forward me their invaluable feedback.

I'll be back - hopefully in March 2011.
