Away With Worry: Too Sleepy In The Morning
Angela Black’s poem brings a child’s-eye view of the dawning of a new day.
Too sleepy in the morning
To wash and comb and brush
The family's in the bathroom
The family's in a rush
Too dreamy in a morning
To find my books and bag
The family's eating breakfast
And there's no time to lag
But when we reach the playground
Before the whistle blows
The dreams and sleep crawl back to night
And the new Sun says "Hello''.
