About Our Words: Hard Times

Jack Mott of Craigieburn, Victoria, Australia identified with an article by one of his relatives.

Jack writes:

We were still on the road when the Battle of Britain raged in September 1940 and Old Rowley won the Cup. Jamie Mott is a relation of mine. My family have been active in the racing game for a long Time. After RAAF service I was a racing cyclist in Bendigo - too heavy for a jockey.
