Open Writing columnist Liz Thompson (Cynthia) vouches for the authenticity of an Australian love poem presented by sister columnist Sandy James.
This is certainly authentic. There's a saying "If you want an Aussie male to sit through a romantic film with you and not yawn when the boy gets the girl, make sure it is an Aussie male dog.''
Also: "If you want to have a male who will be happy to cuddle you and not expect anything more and won't mind when you kick him off the bed, get a male dog.''
