Kiwi Konexions: Autumn

Gleaming yellow droops against the lowering sun,
As silver birch defies the starkness of the season yet to come.

Burnished conkers lie beneath the golden chestnut tree.
While feet scuffle through the crisp dry shades of autumn.

Wind blown rainbows of colour fling themselves against the darkening sky,
Rebelliously rejecting earth’s call to winter’s rest.
