North American Dreaming: Turbulence

William Burkholder’s poem tells of a wind-driven rage.

Turbulence,
wind driven rage.
Piercing the heart
and soul.
Broken remnants of hearts
desire lay in shards
and the tools,
my tears,
my regrets,
do little to
remedy the break.
