I don't look
for promises anymore
but that is not
really surprising
I don't keep promises anymore either
Not so long ago
someone promised
to share a thousand days
and a thousand dreams
but now those days and dreams have all gone
Can someone tell me
do the words I do
really mean I won't
why is it that promises
never last as long
as the memories
