I sat at the window, feet on the sill
And started looking down the street
I wondered why nothing stood still
And marveled at all those feet
Prancing feet, dancing feet
Languid feet, limping feet
Walking feet, running feet
Swinging feet, nimble feet
Feet that marched, feet that arched
Feet that dangled, sometimes mangled
Feet that came and feet that went
From where to where I wonder
What all feats can feet perform!
What shapes and sizes do they form!
I brought mine down the windowsill
And thanked my stars I had them still
