A Fistful Of Stars: I Have No More Deadlines To Meet

Hariharan Balakrishnan's poem indicates that life can be expansive and extensive when there are no more deadlines to meet.

I have no more deadlines to meet
No more targets for me to hit
No peaks to climb no goals to reach
No more promises to keep

I have no one to hold in awe
Nothing to ponder, behold in wonder
Only to recollect what I saw
Parting curtains of a past asunder

I have a whole new world to see
What I saw not, could not see
For lack of opportunity
Or lack of time? So let it be

I want to travel across the Seas
And savour flavours around the globe
To meet my fellow kindred souls
Without targets, without goals

I have no more deadlines to meet
