A Fistful Of Stars: Rain - Peacock
Rain rains but does not reign, declares Hariharan Balakrishnan's deliciously watery poem.
Rain in a cloud
Rain in a mist
Rain as a drizzle
Rain as a shower
A sheet of water
A torrent, tide
A gush, a shiver
A feeling cold
Rain to the land
Barren and dry
Rain in a song
A burst of joy
Rain of love
Rain on a dove
Rain of Peace
Rain eternal
Is also a drain
Is also flood
Is also woe
Is also bliss
Rain rains but does not reign
Rain roars but does not rail
It swings, it sings and it dances
Like a peacock under my rainless bow
