Feather's Miscellany: Creator God

John Waddington-Feather's new hymn can be sung to the tune of Sibelius’s penultimate air in ‘Finlandia’.

O, loving God, how beautiful Creation!
How wonderful your Word made manifest:
Each tree and plant a flowering meditation,
Each bird and beast, in all we’re truly blest.
(repeat last two lines)

And all the sparkling universe above us,
The constellations filling the whole sky;
Such heavenly wonders showing that you love us,
The planets, stars all rolling endless by.
(repeat last two lines)

Incarnate Maker, sending us Lord Jesus,
Our brother, friend, full of your Godly power;
Our guide and shield within a world so dang’rous,
Protecting us through every passing hour.
(repeat last two lines)
