A Fistful Of Stars: Melting In Eternity
Hariharan Balakrishnan reminds us that many a poem fails to appear in neat array upon a page.
Amid a desert
Flaunting a pen
Walks a poet
Without a cap
A poem hangs
Above, beyond
Words do come and also go
Words for the desert sand
Words slowly atomize
On and above the sand
Song becomes a whisper
Poem melts in heat
There's no cap to a poet's pen
No cap on the poet's head
No cap to the flow of thought
In arid desert or brown seashore
No paper, pen
Or computer
The poet's thoughts evaporate
My thoughts melt in Eternity
